For the October 16 practice group we meditated to the sound of the Mission District cheering the victory of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
For the meditation, we added more mindfulness of the body, especially focusing on bodily sensations that follow thoughts. We studied the needs lists before we meditated to increase our familiarity with the names of the needs.
For the dharma talk and discussion we talked about universal human needs and the first five factors of the Buddh’as eightfold Path. Interestingly, Jungian psychology and the 12-steps also found their way into the conversation.
